Morocco has one of the most progressive legal systems for women in the Arab world. They enjoy equal access to all political and economic functions, at least in legal terms. However, widowed, divorced or single women are discriminated against, and child marriages and polygamy are permitted under certain conditions. Christine Helfer reports.
