The Jenisch in Switzerland

The early 1900s saw the onset of the persecution and resettlement of the Jenisch in Switzerland. It wasn’t until 1998, that the Swiss Travellers were recognised as a national minority in view of the signing of a framework convention for the Protection of National Minorities by the Council of Europe.
